After a couple weeks of madly sorting, scanning and editing photos of my grandmother for a special slideshow for her Memorial service next weekend, I finally am finished and it felt so freeing that I sat down and had a blast yesterday just playing to my heart's content. No assignments, no deadlines, just having fun like a little kid with new art supplies! I gotta say it felt great!
I decided it would be fun to check out some challenges going on at some of my favorite blogs so for today's cards I was inspired by the "Stencil It" challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.
Card No. 1: For this card I applied my Versamark stamp pad directly to the stencil and paper surface and then sprinkled on different colors of embossing powders in a rainbow pattern. I thought this would be super messy, but by starting at the bottom and then gradually adding powders one at a time, I actually didn't lose any powder in the process.

Coolest ideas EVER - love the idea of using an inkpad to fill in the spaces of a stencil!! Beautiful results are what you got and your second card is soft and pretty!! Just love it so much!! When you make cards they are stunning and so cool!! So glad to see these beauties!!
